Benahavís Hosts Inaugural Flamenco Celebration with Provincial Box Drum Performance
More than 5,100 students are participating in activities organized by the Provincial Council of Málaga to celebrate International Flamenco Day. Benahavís hosted the first of five massive box drum performances in different parts of the province, involving students from CEIP Daidín. The event took place in Torre Leoneras Park, where children enjoyed a day dedicated to flamenco culture and rhythm. The event was attended by Provincial Councillor for Youth José Santaolalla and Benahavís Councillor for Youth Ignacio López. López expressed pride in hosting an event that introduces flamenco to students, fostering respect and appreciation for traditions. Santaolalla emphasized the importance of flamenco in cultural roots and the need for continued promotion within the educational community.
