Benahavís Implements Biological Control Strategy with Beneficial Insects for Garden Care
The Environmental Department of Benahavís has conducted a recent release of beneficial auxiliary insects in various green spaces across the municipality. This initiative aims to strengthen the council’s long-standing strategy of biological control, utilizing natural allies to combat pests like aphids and scale insects in an eco-friendly manner. The release of these insects supports the health of ornamental vegetation and promotes urban biodiversity. The release locations include Plaza del Pilar, Torre Leonera, Parque del Rosario, Parque Antonio Ocón, the green areas of La Quinta, and along Andalucía and Fiscal Luis Portero avenues. Benahavís is dedicated to fostering a sustainable environment through this approach.
