Improvement Project Underway for Capanes-Mercadona Trail
Preparations are in progress for the ‘Capanes-Mercadona Trail Repair’ project, which involves enhancing the trail and replacing protective features and signage. This initiative complements the maintenance efforts undertaken by the Town Council on other trails in the area, such as replacing damaged wooden railings, restoring wooden structures, clearing vegetation, painting metal fixtures, re-laying natural flooring, and updating signage. Recent heavy rains caused damage that is now being addressed to ensure user safety. The project was awarded to General de Viales for €48,279.00, with a 4-month completion timeline.
