Financial Aid for New Births and Adoptions in 2026

The Provincial Council of Málaga has approved a new round of financial grants for births or adoptions in municipalities with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants, including Benahavís. The grant amounts to 1,200 euros per child born or adopted and covers expenses related to the child’s well-being and care. Eligible expenses include items like pushchairs, cots, and high chairs. To apply, parents or adoptive parents must meet certain criteria, such as being registered residents in a small municipality for at least 2 years and having an annual household income of 25,000 euros or less. The application period is from February 27 to March 27, with a total budget of 350,000 euros. Payment will be made via bank transfer upon approval. Expenses must be incurred between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2026, and justified by June 30, 2027.
